Camera in cold weather

I bought this in Malaysia and I'm wondering if it will function ok in winter weather? I think that's it... But are you planning to go to the northpole with it? The best thing is to wait a bit for everything to equalize, rather that trying to wipe it off. Can't wait to see those new pictures!
