Hi all,

I like taking pictures. Do not have any powerful or great camera, but I have a Canon Ixus II.

I bought this in Malaysia and I'm wondering if it will function ok in winter weather?

Advise appreciated.

Hi Janeyee,

I think it should work allright if you keep in mind some basic rules... it's not that different to film cameras.

1 Keep it dry

2 Keep it from freezing

3 eh... I think that's it...

But are you planning to go to the northpole with it?

And be aware that when you enter and leave areas of radically different temperatures, you're gong to have to deal with water condensation on the lens. The best thing is to wait a bit for everything to equalize, rather that trying to wipe it off.

Can't wait to see those new pictures!
