i am going on 5th Jan04 i am flying to Bangkok then traveling south i would love to here from people that have recently traveled in thailand place to go thing to see and places to stay
Going south huh? The Krabi province, on the west side, is beautiful with awesome beaches. Surant Thani is a jump off point in the east side for some great islands and beaches. While in Bangkok hit the weekend market. A huge outdoor flea market. Take the Skytrain to the MoChit station and follow the masses to the market. It can be easy to get lost once inside so make sure you see everything! Have a great time!
At south enjoy the Krabi area and islands like Kho Phi Phi or Kho Lanta and at the other coast just go to SuratThani and take the ferry to the islands, Ko Samui, Kho PhanGan or Kho Tao (Diving).
Kho Phi Phi and Kho Samui are a little bit overpriced than the average in Thailand but at all the other islands you can find a really wonderful first-line-beach bungallows for a great price.

I can recommend to visit to Pattaya. I with my family usually we visit to Pattaya in April-May. There is all for fine family vacation. Scuba diving is Pattaya’s most popular water sport – the water is clear, sea life plentiful, transport and accommodation readily available and instruction to a very high standard.
