Member opinion: This is a large house, looking like an old palace, in Lamu downtown, ruled by Carmen, ex actress. She was a “chica Almodovar” (Pedro Almodovar girl) and with the money that she earned in the films (and as clerk in the Museo del Prado, Madrid) migrated to the quiet Lamu island until her last days, as she confessed me.
She accepts guests in her mansion at moderated prices, but not everybody. If she does not like you she will tell you that her house is full!
Carmen does not use telephone, but everybody in Lamu Island knows where Carmen lives.
