This is one of the best museums in Russia. The part devoted to fauna is my favourite (see web page).
Have you seen the film Dersu Uzala of Akira Kurosawa based in Vladimir Arsenyev book? It a good film about the encounter in Siberia of a Russian explorer and an aboriginal tribesman that became friends.
In that museum they explain that history.
