Member opinion: In Yessentuki downtown you will notice a building of one floor, looking like a palace, and many people going inside without interruption with a cup in their hands. I followed them, bought a plastic cup for 50 kopecks and entered the building. I saw many fountains and taps from where people served themselves different kind of waters, and immediately sat to drink them, usually in groups or with the family with children, including breastfeed babies. After drinking one glass they went again to the fountains to taste different spring waters. There were medicinal waters, with minerals suitable for the good health of the organism.
Everything was for free, except the plastic cup.
I combined my visit to Yessentuki with Pyatigorsk and Kislovodsk, in Stravopol, Transcaucasia. That area is very remote, in the border with Karachay Cherkessia and Kabardino Balkaria, near Georgia. You will see in the horizon the Mount Elbrus, the highest in Europe, with 5642 metres.
