Apr 28, 2008 06:00 PM There are nine milions bicycles in Beijing

There are nine milions bicycles in Beijing And few other milions of motorbikes, cars, rikshaw etc. So the people in Beijing (which is hardly to believe) are minority. I didn't planned it but I spend all day just walking through the city. It was amazing, going through the hutongs, all districts, eating with the local people. Something to remember.
Old Beijing is dissapering, so it was the last moment to came here and see all those fabulous things.

Apr 27, 2008 06:00 PM Ladies and Gentelmans the square is closing

Ladies and Gentelmans the square is closing It was quite difficult day. My plane has arrived at Beijing airport at 4 am, first bus to the city is at 7 am, everything closed etc.
So I took the shared taxi (about 100 RMB for a taxi - bus costs 16 RMB, 1 USD = 6.90 RMB). I checked in my hostel (Peking International Hostel very close to the Forrbidden city) and I was trying to see the city.
In the evening when I was in Tiananmenn square the police has appered unawares. I didn't know what happened because they were driving through the square and expeling people from it.
Finally someone has told me that square is closing for the night. I was wondering why ....

My backpack is ready, me also. Tody is the day when new adventure will start. I am going to China for 9 days. The country is changing rapidly. I want to see places like hutongs before they will be demolished. My plan is to see Beijing, Great Wall and Royal tombs. Maybe Xian ....
Keep your finger crossed please ...

Feb 21, 2008 09:00 PM Again Santiago

Road from La Serena to Santiago de Chile is less spectacular than others that I made in Chile. a lot of bus companies offers this trip for about 12 000 Pesos and takes 7 hours. Sometimes road goes very close to the Pacific Ocean. Very scenic.
Santiago welcomed me with excellent weather - sunny afternoon. Tomorrow I am taking the plane to back home. It was a trip full of adventures that I will never forget. Hope to go back here one day.

Feb 20, 2008 09:00 PM Bellavista

Bellavista La Serena is one of the Chilean spa towns. Located on the shores of the Pacific Oceans draws thousands of tourists every year. Beside the huge beach city has also cosy old town. Almost at the end of the journey I decided to make a little stop over for rest a little bit on the beach, and there I meet litlle new friend - litlle dog, who accompaign me till the rest of the evening on the beach. I feed him and I gave him a nick "Bellavista". It was amazing friendship, it is a pity that I could not take him with me. Soon I will post his photo.

Feb 19, 2008 09:00 PM 11 Highway

11 Highway Road from La Paz to Arica in Chile is served by dozen companies. Ticket price starts from 100-130 Bolivianos. Road take 8 hours and almost all buses living from 6 am to 7 am. On Bolivian side road goes through the mountains. When coming to Chile road has the name Chile 11 Highway. It take us through the mountains. Just before Arica the spectal has started. I came in to faboulous Lluta River Valley. High desert mountains and between small piece of green, thanks to this river. And like that up to Arica ....

Feb 18, 2008 09:00 PM El Camino de muerte - the most dangerous road in the world.

El Camino de muerte - the most dangerous road in the world. This was a special day, full of new experiences. Yesterday I bought a excursion to the most dangerous road in the world (70 USD for whole day trip). I have never seen and do something like that. They took us to La Cumbra gave us the bicycles, equipement. At the top of the mountain (4650 m) was snow. Then we started high speed, emotions and beautiful landscapes. Then we came in to hot forest (jungle). And like that until Coroico. That was the best thing that I made in Bolivia.

Feb 17, 2008 09:00 PM La Paz somwhere in the clouds

La Paz somwhere in the clouds If you will have an opportunity to take a night bus from Sucre to La Paz make sure that you have a warm clothes as well the blanket. Was terribly cold and driver refused to turn on the heating. La Paz welcomed me with the clouds. I haven´t chance to see a famous view of the city. I checked in in the Maximilliano Hostel (35 bolivianos per person) and walked to see the city. Lot of people, cars, sellers, smog. But it has also it charm.
Tomorrow I am going to take a ride by bike on ¨el camino de muerte¨ I think it will be one of the biggest adventures on this trip.

Feb 16, 2008 09:00 PM Tarabuco Market

Tarabuco Market If you are in Sucre on Sunday everybody will tell you about Tarabuco Matket. This village is located 65 kilomteres from Sucre, and you can use local bus to go there or Hostal Charcas offers you a return trip for 25 bolivianos. Some people says that is originall but I found there a lot of tourist. You can buy there everythings - souvenirs, hanidcrafts, food, meat, fruits and vegetables. To the market coming people from all surrounding area. A lot of tradictional costumes. Price are differents for locals and tourist, but you can bargain.
And at the end, road from Tarabuco to Sucre is stunning.

Feb 15, 2008 09:00 PM A half capital Sucre

A half capital Sucre Bolivia ha two capitals - La Paz and Sucre. I took the bus from Potosi to reach Sucre ( 3 hours - 17 bolivianos, and 2 bolivianos departure tax :))
Sucre is really charming city. A lot of old buildings, churches, restaurants make a pleasant place to stop for a while. Almost all attractions are centralized so all are accesible by foot. City is called "White city of the Americas" and is true. View from the belfry of the "Iglesia de la Merced" shows the beauty of the city. Tomorrow I am going to see Tarabuco Market.
When I came about midday city was empty, now in the evening became full of people.
