Member opinion: An excellent experience in Tunis; now deemed a UNESCO World Heritage site so it is as good as a museum. The area dates back to the 7th century and remained the commercial centre until Tunisia became a French Protectorate in 1881. Wondering through the narrow passageways and haggling for souvenirs is an experience not to be missed - well at least once.
