This is a delightful town in Wensleydale, Yorkshire. Its setting is extremely good, with the spectacular Buttertubs Pass leading over to Swaledale.
From the Green Dragon Inn at the western end of the town you can see Hardraw Force. Thre are a number of waterfalls in the area but this is a particularly good one.
The Tuesday street market is not that big but enjoyable - parking murder on those days!
