Small city and very clean, one of the most recommended cities in America for families to move to because of the quality of life and the natural surroundings. The British and Germans settled nearby in the 1700's and discovered gold at the site where Charlotte is built. Now 300 years later, headquarters to the Bank of America and others, making it the second largest banking center in the world after NYC.
