Travel guide to Dickinson

Bayou Butterfly

Named after a Texan hero who lived here in the 1830's, Dickinson is a small community located between Houston and Galveston, in an area just between Texas City (oil refineries) and NASA's Johnson Space Center. A lot of people who work in the Space Center live in Dickinson. One of the advantages of the city is that it is located 30 minutes from town and 20 minutes from the beach. Interstate 45 is lined with malls, shops, cinemas, services and hotels. Visitor attractions include the local bayou and the railway museum. Nearby are also; Astroworld, Clearwater Lake Resort Area and Galveston Bay. [edit text] [editors]
