Sistema Teleferico 
This is the highest cable car in the world (4765 metres) and a real experience. There are several stages where you can get off and admire the Andes Mountains, or even have your lunch. It is not expensive at all (just 30.000 bolivares). It constitutes a must during your journey in Western Venezuela. During one hour you will go up from the station Barinitas, in Merida, until Pico Espejo, stopping in La Montana (2442 metres), La Aguada (3452 metres), and Loma Redonda (4045 metres). You will see the valley of the river Chama, then jungle and finally glaciers and the peak Bolivar (5007 metres), the highest in Venezuela. more
