Member opinion: The gondola ride we enjoyed was not nearly as much as a splurge as we thought. We reserved ahead of time, by using a Gondolier's Cooperative (as we strolled around Venice in other moments, many other gondoliers called out to us as we walked over bridges, or along canals, and offered much higher prices!). We also shared the ride with two other couples, and had a bottle of Prosecco to share around as we swayed along the water viewing the Grand Canal as I always dreamed it was meant to be viewed and experienced by the rich noblemen of the "Serenissima" Republic. Definitely a unique and unforgettable experience.
