About two hours outside of Saigon you find the Mekong River and the delta region. Explored on a day trip the delta provides an insight to the simple life that was Vietnam. You can explore one of the island by rowing boat weaving your way thorugh the many canals. It can get very congested as this is a bit of a tourist trap. You can visit coconut island where they produce a lot of coconut products like coconut candy, coconut wine, hats, bags etc as well as a crocodile farm. Also you can see the many houses on the river used for fish farming. [edit text]  [editors]
