Anyone know the current situation on getting a visa for Tibet if you are coming overland via China? I hear that the same rules do not apply as in Nepal (ie. grup visas etc..)
Again the best place for a TTB permit is from Chengdu and you can also ask for a Tibet Alien Travel Permit which is for areas out of the mainstay which the TTB allows you. SAMS Guest House in Chengdu is a good place to get the Tibet entry permit, thousands of people have gone through him, very positive recommendation.
