I work on a new project trying to find my way across Tibet: now west to east.
From Kashgar to Lhasa the route seems to be passable by 4WD.
But today I got a message from Lhasa:
"...let you know that the road between Tibet and Yunnan is under repaired and are not available for tourism until this December,

Bad news!
Did anybody try the alternative Lhasa to Sichuan route? Is it as attractive as the road to Yunnan?
Thanks
Wojtek

Good news from FaceBook?
I have put up a message to 32000 of my Tibetian friends. Perhaps one will contact us or a few join GLOBOsapiens? :-)

Ooops! Another bad news from Lhasa:
"...the repaired road is from to Yelashan to Paksho and Niutagou to Zhongba, it will affect both tour from Yunnan to Tibet and Sichuan to Tibet..."
So it seems that I must postpone my project for the next year...
Anybody interested to join me in 2011?

Thanks Rudi for your help - so far no info through this channel...
