It is not mainland Africa... I have been there years ago but sailing on the ship... Does anybody know about cheap flights from Europe to Reunion?
Thanks

It will be hard to get cheap flights to Reunion. From Europe there are only two airlines that fly there - (RUN = Roland Garros Airport St-Denis):
Air Austral (Paris CDG, Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse)
Air France (Paris CDG)
Air France is not that expensive and it offers good service. I have been on Air Austral from Johannesburg to Antanarivo some years back and their service was so-so, and it was expensive.
Other connections would be possible via Johanesburg, Antananarivo and Mauritius, but these will be even more expensive, I guess. --- Open your eyes. Free your mind. Touch lives. Sink into the different. Travel and belong.

Air France has a special Frankfurt(FRA) > Paris > RUN and return for €1100 (includes taxes). The special is called "Unifare" but I could not find info about the conditions yet. This and my best source currently for airfares from Germany is www.reise-preise.de
The airports website shows connections for the current day only. One would need to check this everyday for a week to find all possible flights:

Thank you dear Fellows...
Welcome to see my Reunion page:
http://www.kontynenty.net/Reunio.htm
Do you know that four times a year the ship is
departing from Reunion to French subantarctic islands?
Sounds fascinating (at least to me!)
Greetings!

Yes, my friends went to Crozet this way to do research for over a year there, looking after penguins, orcas and albatrosses. The brought some amazing pictures! I understand that on Crozet the only buildings is the research station... --- Open your eyes. Free your mind. Touch lives. Sink into the different. Travel and belong.
