Phi Phi Ilands or Koh Samui in October

Can anybody inform us where it rains less in october? Don't let the rainy season put you off though! Frequently your days can see a day of sunshine only temporarily interrupted by a short heavy tropical shower. It can rain for several days in a row on Koh Samui - but it is warm rain!! Occasionally, there are heavier storms brought in from the Gulf of Siam. The air is slightly cooler and more comfortable in October. I personally enjoy the rainy season - there are less tourists and it is quite a cosy atmoshere. Phi Phi Islands being off the west coast don't get the rains from the Gulf. Nevertheless it is still their rainy season. If you want days without rain in Thailand - your best chances are January through April annually. Alternatively in October Chiang Mai and the Golden Triangle are experiencing wonderful warm sunny weather. Hope this helps! Cheers Brit. --- Cheers! I Like Koh Samui over Phi-Phi since it had still maintained some original charm with many isolated beaches. Phi-Phi was smaller and very crowded.
