Vienna - Austria, Wien Schönbrunn in Neptune Fountain - the fountain located in the garden of the French at the Palace of Schönbrunn. It was erected at the request of Maria Theresa Habsburg in 1780, probably designed by Johann Ferdinand Hetzendorf von Hohenberg.
The excavations for the pool (and four more in the Great Parterre provided wells) was started in 1776, but the concept had to be modified 1777 after it had, that there is no corresponding amounts of water could be herbeigeleitet. This led to re-dug pools had to be buried and that the completion of the Neptune fountain was delayed until 1780.
