Also, has anyone been on the 'moose bus'???, if so, is it worth it??.

Whistler is one of the best (if not the best!) ski resort in North Amerika. I have been there in April 2001. O.K.. snowboarding was more like sliding inside a huge Calphirinha glass considering the snow.. but up the mountain it was still great. The road from Vancouver to Whistler (called See to Sky Highway) takes you along some nice scenary. Banf on the other side.. I can just tell about summer and some storries from other guys .. Rocky Mountains .. what do u expect. It must be just breathtaking.

If I had the choice I certainly would go to Banff, specially in the off-season. I have been there last in May, 2001. It is not as touristy as Whistler, it has the charme of an old, grown town, not to forget the hot sulphur baths, to warm you up, is cosier, and the location is just gorgeous. Jasper, Yoho, Glacier National Parks etc. are just around the corner, the Banff Jasper Highway is a treat, not to talk about beautiful Lake Louise. There certainly are several possibilities for your snow activities.

Lake Louise and Banff are really nice destinations. Beautiful landscape! However, you have to consider that this are high tourist destinations with all its downsites. Why don't you try to do something more "off the beaten track"? I recommend Wells Gray provincial park!

I would definitely go with Whistler, it is just so beautiful!

While you're there try skiing or snowboarding at night on Blackcomb Mountain

Here's a good site to make an itinerary for your trip to Whistler:

Have fun!
