TiP: photograph less sky and more foreground. I level images like this out by rotating them in PhotoShop (or any good photo programme) [3.8] > [4.7]?

Haha! ... and remember "light meters" and framing slides one-by-one? The young travellers are so lucky!

Hehe Rudi, I've still got one, and several rolls of undeveloped film! I kept fit lugging around a metal flight case that, nowadays would attract the attention of airport security and would probably be blown up just in case:-) my current cheapie Canon digi can store 2500 pics without deleting, truly amazing!

... remember the cubic flash bulbs that blew up and sometimes smoked?

Memories Rudi, I used flash bulbs to ignite magnesium powder during stage shows years ago!

I had a flash gun I used to fire on a "b" exposure by sticking a pin in the connector for which I had no match on the camera. My first camera was a converted Brownie 116 box camera. I love the big sky in this picture it makes the human bit so small and insignificant just waiting to be rescued by the locals who understood the wilderness and had no picket fences.

Crikey Hugh, that was even before my time, I agree about the pic, well commented!.
