doltra's travel recommendations

Very little monastery from the 16th century it is amazingly built into the mountain. The "capuchos" lived there for centuries in complet union with nature. With no luxury at all. The visit is allways made by excellent guides speaking at least portuguese, spanish and english, transmiting the way of life of the monks transporting us to an incredible atmosphear. It is not allways visited when coming to Sintra, but I do recomend it far more than any other place around, it is something different.
