Aguateca Archeological Park - Guatemala, Petén The ruins of Aguateca are "Post Classic" meaning that most of the structures come after 700AD, however the most recent date on any of the monuments is 810AD. As a result, Aguateca does not have the pyramid associated earlier Mayan cities but it does have some marvelous temples, plazas and platforms of which this is one.
