Chichicastenango - Guatemala, Quiché The Guatemalan highlands feature a strange mix of Mayan mysticism and Catholic faith. On the steps of the church sits a Mayan altar where corn and other items are burned, all the while the "Brotherhood" maintains the Icon of Jesus which is carried through the streets on Sundays, through the busy marekt.
