If you can get past the plastic snow covering the lawns, and the many nearby palm trees, this amazing group of displays charmingly attracts 500,000 people a year. San Jose's Christmas in the Park started in the mid-1950's with several displays provided by an old time San Jose Family. In 1970 it outgrow the family's location and moved to Ceasar Chavez Park. It now includes 60 animated displays and an Ice Rink that enclosed the "Circle of Palms", allowing skaters to skate in and out between the palm trees! Snow blowers mounted to street lamps cmplete the winter wonder land!
