Located on a Nature Reserve, a 20 minute drive outside Santa Elena, Nitun is an amazing hideaway. The Casitas are luxurious while fitting perfectingly into the natural surroundings. Located on the hillside shore of Lake Peten Itza, each Casita has a stunning patio, complete with evening toads and morning birds. Breakfast Lunch (usually an amazing, amazing box lunch) and dinner are sumptuous. The dinnering room, kitchen are bar are open to the lake view (not 4th wall, I mean open) and parrots and a variety of other animals await. Wild orchids and lush palms complete the setting. Of all the places I have ever been, this will long be my favorite!
