Dried seafood vendors in Chinatown. I was able to take only one photo before I was told to put the camera away, because photos were not allowed. The live fish, reptile, amphibian and bird vendor shops in Chinatown also prohibit pictures, because of trouble with the animal rights activists. Perhaps this shop did not want photos taken because they still had a lot of shark's fin stock that they were trying to sell; I was told during my visit that it was the final weekend to legally sell it, and that afterwards only New York's Chinatown would be selling shark's fin, and their remaining stock would be sold there.
