The Wat Khmer San Jose Buddhist Temple is located at 2751 Mervyns Way, San Jose, CA 95127 (Tel 408-770-9171). It is operated by The San Jose Cambodian Buddhist Society, Inc. (http://watkhmer.org-/). The temple normally houses three Cambodian Buddhist monks, but one is currently back in Cambodia for a visit; there are also a couple of Cambodian nuns at the temple. The Cambodian gentleman who lead me on a tour of the temple and introduced me to the head monk turned out to be the architect involved in the layout and construction of the temple; I would later meet the craftsman that was brought over from Cambodia to assist with the incorporation and fabrication of the traditional Khmer temple design elements. The temple holds its Cambodian New Year celebration during April 12-14, so I will definitely have to check out the Cambodian food stalls and festivities.
