This is an extract of a letter which I saw in a local London paper, it was written by a man living in Staines (about 20miles from London) but working in London.
"""Tourists leave us alone
I admire the fact that our delightful capital city can attract millions of tourists every year, enthralled by the beauty of our buildings, our people, our history and the style, tolerance and grace of ordinary Londoners. However, if another holiday maker asks me to take his picture as I walk to work over Tower Bridge, I plan to hurl their "200 cameras where the sun don't shine while shouthing: "No I am not your "Meester" and I don't respond to "Scoooooooosssie sir" either. I am going to work. You remember work, the thing you have in between your siestas? You are on holiday, I am not. Therefore, why should I help your pissy little trip along by taking yet another cheesy snap?""
I wonder how this guy is in Rome when he is on holiday, I am sure he is doing the same thing, stoping the locals going to work for taking his crap picture.
How dares he writting a letter like this, if he does not want to be stop, he just need to say "NO" politely!!!
As a Londoner I will be more than happy to stop for tourists, or answer their questions.
I am proud to live in London this guy should really be ashamed!!!
Take care
