Hello,
When I have a flight going to Frankfurt airport from Amsterdam, and I have a stopover of 1:00 hour is it possible to reach the gate in time for a next flight Frankfurt - Calgary?
Thank you in advance

Hi Jasper,
under normal circumstances it will not be a problem. Maybe it should be a good idea to have a look at www.airportcity-frankfurt.com where you can check if you have to change the terminal - just to be prepared.
Have a relaxed journey! Regards, Christian --- Just SMILE - and the world smiles with you!!

Jassey,
You should check with the airline and see if you have to go through their transfer station in Frankfurt. I recently (June) flew from Cairo through Frankfurt to the USA. We had to go through the Luthansa transfer station to be ticketed through and then had to switch terminals. We made our flight but just barely.

I had a similar problem but arriving from JFK to get a connection to Toulouse.
I just managed it by being first off the plane running the length of the terminal building ( remember that Frankfurt is a very big hub airport) and jumping the security queues. This did not endear me to other passengers waiting and resulted in a virtual strip search in full view of everyone!!
Additionally my baggage was was checked through.
Check again with your travel agent to make sure its viable, normally they won't sell you a ticket with an impossible connection.
Good luck

Thanks all for replying to my question, we called the travelagency today, and the lady we spoke to on the phone told us that she also flew with this same schedule, telling us we stay at terminal 1 and leave at terminal 1 and that we didnt had to go trough security checks, she made it to the gate in 30 minutes. I guess because we have a security check in Amsterdam allready we dont have to go trough the same in Frankfurt.

yes no problem! better collect your 2 boarding passes so you will be checked in the long haul flight and the gate will not close without you on board. --- One travels, not to change locations, but ideas.

jassy ,
to reply to your second question..
there's a second x-ray check upon arrival in FRA , coming from Schengen origin; but this check is very fast because it is only concerning the pax in transit; people boarding in FRA have a separate x-ray check which can be time consuming;
if you are in a hurry, you are allowed to use the faster business or First class lines for the x ray check
enjoy your flight! --- One travels, not to change locations, but ideas.

hey, I didn't wrote that neither!! ;-)
This is just supposed to give you more chance because you are considered as already checked on the connecting flight, so the connecting airline can easily check if your feeder flight is on time or not too much delayed .... but basically, if your inbound flight is delayed by really too far, not a single airline can guaranty that they will wait for you! except if you charter the flight of course.. hehehe
enjoy your flight and do not stress!
