Set in mature gardens a three minute stroll from Lighthouse Beach, Sea Breeze is very peaceful. Staff are friendly and the manager Vivin is full of useful information about the area. His family have lived in Kovalam for many generations. En-suite rooms with ceiling fan have twin beds. Tariff Rs600 room only. Air-conditioned rooms are Rs1200. Mosquito nets provided on request. Activities at Sea Breeze include Yoga and Kalarippayattu (Keralan Martial Arts). Ayurveda available. Tours to Beach Houses in North Kerala can be arranged – a must for those who have time to go there. Sea Breeze is one of the few hotels in Kovalam which has direct road access and car parking. Most of the other hotels use porters to collect luggage from the nearest road. Main season for South Kerala is November to April but Sea Breeze is also a good place to stay outside those months. Long stay deals are offered between April and October. I have been there in August but it can be very humid.
