GLOBOsapiens is amongst the safest and securest websites on all the internet. Since I joined many years ago, I cannot remember any serious breaches, not one single one! The internal mail system is totally safe but some external forces will always try to advertise for free (also in forums and reports) or seek members off-guard and to trick us into some kind of deal.
Members please always be aware of very sudden friendly new and "day" traders that do not contribute "travel" stuff! Staff has put up a good warning system we should all help with:

"...... please report spam always through the spam reporting function of GLOBO. There is an icon underneath the members profile picture with a red sign that allows you to report the user if he has 500 points. The reporting function is semiautomated so far but might become even more automated in the future. If it works well it will allow seniors to freeze an account if several seniors report it. All of you can help to filter out those who pass the automated filters and can not be detected by computer programs....."
If in any doubt, new or junior members please contact any moderator, senior member or staff for a second opinion and possible action. [ This Message was edited by: rangutan on 2008-01-11 20:49 ] --- Rudolf "Rangutan" Graspointner

I seem to be getting more and more 'spam' members who post in my guestbook. These have fewer than 50 points so I can't freeze them. The latest is vicky4u - can you delete her? The last I just deleted but I would hate this to become a bigger problem on the globo site!
Mags --- Enjoy it while you can!

That is a very relevant comment, I only joined Globo in Jan 2009 and still regard myself as a junior member, i have seen many supposed members trying to take advantage of the facilities of the site, either by pretending to be a real member but are in reality a travel company looking to get free adverts or, more common, stupid people who think this is adatng site or a marriage agency, my advice is, always hit the spam button as soon as possible and reply to none of these, Andy and the Team are very good at removing these but you have to let them know if you find them offensive. I hope that this helps. Tony. (jacko1) --- I am no longer a stranger in a strange land.

Sorry to say that I have received yet more spam. This time from had2009. I hope the moderators can delete these people who potentially ruin a great site! I agree that most spammers see it is some kind of dating site!! --- Enjoy it while you can!

Hello megsalex,
please report spam with the help of the spam button. The button can be found underneath each profile picture. The more people report spam, the faster the dubious accounts get removed. As soon as the account is removed, it will be harder but not impossible to sign up again for that person.
Kind regards,
Andy
