It was a last minute decision to veer off to China instead of two other Asian countries we actually wanted to but travel bureaus just couldn't help us plan or approve any itinerary drafted up within 10 days. We rendezvous with my Sister-in-Law in Spore for a few days and thereafter, left together with her heading back for Shanghai where she currently resides with her two children and husband, all are holding PR status.
I managed to obtained at the very last or rather, 11th hour, visas for my wife and myself at the Chinese Consulate. That was in itself an experience in light of the protests regarding the demonstrations and anything linked to Tibet.
Shanghai we went and by George... we were thrilled despite not wanting to go to China at all in the first place but WE DID!!! I just had to go clicking away at whatever and however, whenever i had the chance... I even felt odd myself 2B honest... I'm suppose to be there to have a break but it's sooo incredible at seeing a country thats all Chinese and loads of foreigners spiced & mingled in !!!...LoL
