Petra, all the horses that are shown at the Spanish riding School are bred at the Lipice Stud, their initial training is here and then they go to riding schools all over the world, the only true blood line is at Lipice. They are treated like royalty, the grooms sing to their charges, a day at Lipice will never be forgotten. I have more pics.

In Lipice Stud it is possible to visit all the stables and the paddocks and they also present a full show in the arena most days, it is not expensive! unless of course you live in theUSA. By the way the foals are all born brown and turn white at about 1 year.

Think Lipice is even more interesting than the show in Vienna.

I uploaded a previous picture of a groom in the stables, when the mares and foals are in th paddock the mares bring their babies to the fence to be stroked and admired by the visitors, Magical!
