Tony, isn't all of Wales peaceful and beautiful? BTW, I like this!

Not all Jill, there are many parts of Wale.s which have been blighted by coal mining and industry in the past and are still trying to recover, also a small minority of Welsh people have a deep suspicion of The English and in the recent past have even taken to burning holiday cottages owned by non Welsh persons! I still enjoy the country though.

Good grief Tony, I had no idea. I guess I thought the coal mining areas had recovered but had not a clue about the holiday cottages. Very sad, what is wrong with these wild Welshmen?

They are a very small minority of misguided nationalists who are trying to keep the Welsh language and traditions alive and resent the English, there many other parallels in Europe, notably the Basques. Having said that I have never had a problem and get on very well with them, except when England is playing them at Rugby, then it is war! hehe.
