I like the railway lines in front but I find the electric wires off-putting and the figures to the right of the monument are not very clear.

2* taken from a bus! Did you not stop there? This is one of Portugals most important, beautiful and spectacular monuments ..... an icon it should be too but not here :- (

David seriously - take a course in photography or follow basic guidlines & please help us concentrate on better quality & COMPETITIVE PHOTOGRAPHY! Jesus, nice shot but your other snaps are much better

Some belike the railway lines and do not know what they are REALY looking at, a symbol of the success of portugals contribution to world exploration in those hard times of sea TRAVEL! Better shot?

There are three others at the moment: 2 by mistybleu and 1 by polytrad. Two with details: Misty 5*? and poly 4* and the other by misty 3*... My ratings :-)

It's harder to take good photos from a bus, than standing on the ground.... :-)

Well 3* to me, quality is not great I agree, but not bad as came from a bus, it is for what it represents, Portugal is a nation of famous Navigators, it relates to travel.

Sorry for my harsh words David. The small figures at its base show the huge size of this very very impressive monument. The railway lines, the cars & just dashing-past make it so small & meaningless.
