Troglodyte town's by jorgesanchez

Uplistsikhe - Georgia You can get lost in this troglodyte village. It was populated by Kings. Queen Tamara, who ruled Georgia during its Golden Age, also lived here. (I strongly recommend you to read Rustavely epic poem “The Knight in the Panther’s Skin”, devoted to Queen Tamara. I have at home an old copy of this book with painted illustrations, who gave me as a gift a good friend of mine, in Tbilisi, many years ago).
