Museo Picasso |

A must in your visit to Barcelona.
The museum occupies several gothic palaces which are another wonder of the museum.
You can follow Picasso trajectory in this museum, from his first paintings when he was 15 years old to the blue period, the pink period, the proto cubism, surrealism, etc. It is also interesting his collection of the Velazquez “Las Meninas” fragments, (which fabulous painting is in the Museo del Prado, Madrid). Velazquez was a Seville painter of the XVII century whom Picasso admired very much.
The museum is open every day except on Mondays and free on the first Sunday of every month.
There is another museum devoted to Picasso in Malaga, Andalusia, where he was born.
The world famous Guernika painting is in Madrid, inside the Reina Sofia Museum.
