This Youth Hostel besides the famous Ramblas Boulevard is very convenient placed and much cheaper than a similar one in Plaza Real, also near to the Ramblas.
The price per night for a bed in a dormitory from four to ten persons, including breakfast, if you are younger than 26 years is 15’40 euro, or 18’80 euro if you are older.
The area around Calle Hospital is mainly populated by immigrants speaking such exotic languages (from the Europeans point of view) as Urdu, Arabic, Hausa, Swahili, Pilipino, etc., and few people speak Spanish apart from some popular phrases. In the streets of that Barrio (Quarter) you will find many cheap donner kebaps restaurants, couscous to take away, Indian sweets and lassi, or meat cut following strictly the kosher rules, observed by the Jews and muslims alike (what they copied from the ancient Egyptians).
