This experience was organised by Delta Rain Tour company, but it is an experience not to be missed. A mokoro is a wooden canoe which is made for any straight limbed tree (like the sausage or ebony tree) which is then dug out. They sit very low in the water resulting in you getting a bit wet. But its all about the experience, of being poled along, through the reeds and water lilies in the quietness of the water. It's picture perfect.
More often than not, in order to save the trees they are now made from fibreglass, but this doesn’t detract from the experience.
