Possibly Akhila means a message in here GLOBO mailbox or unintensionally gave here private email address to this one-interest-romeo, Ravisingh! I hope staff fixes this very quickly! I have looked deep into this as security is one of the main focuses I had in mind while programming this website. Of course there can never be 100% security anywhere - not even in real live when you look at thieves breaking into your houses. I understand also that you are concerned about your private data on GLOBOsapiens. However, there is nothing to worry about. The theft of your e-mail adress like you suggested is unthinkable for me. Like rangutan mentioned there has not been a single security problem during the existance of GLOBO in the past 4,5 years. We even have 128 bit encryption while you login so nobody can steal your passwords during login. Passwords for example are also saved encrypted to the database so even someone finds a way he could do nothing with it as it is not in clear text (like on most other sites!). This is by the way why we sent you new passwords if you loose yours, instead of sending the old one. We just can't because we do not know it ourselfs. As you can see security is one of the top priorities for us. I have tracked the movement of the member you mentioned and found that after registration the only thing he did, is to write 2 emails with offensive content to you and to ravinderkumarsi. He was reading the reply and logged of after that. Due to the offensive text his account was deleted in compliement with the terms and conditions at GLOBOsapiens. Such persons should be reported imediatelly to us via the feedback button, like for example rangutan did - thank you, rudi!. Spam is a main problem on the internet, but as I mentioned your private data at GLOBOsapiens is save. What you should of course not do, is post your email adress on the net inside forums for example. GLOBOsapiens therefore has the contact fuction which seperates the e-mail adress from the content. As long as you do not tell your email adress to somebody, they will not get hold of it. Heartfelt thanks for this encouraging email from you and my special thanks to the members (especially Rudi & Marianne). I do appreciate the promptness with which you have addressed issue and shared the way security is handled on GLOBO and definitely have no qualms or any issues pertaining to your excellent travel portal - both content wise and security wise, it is a fabulous community. And I surely feel more secure here after reading your reply. Your efforts and your personal note, has made me feel so much better and stronger. I shall activate my contact function ASAP. However, I need some time to get over personal issues created by the spam(s) in my personal emails (which is definitely not related with GLOBO ) and before I resume active (though humble) participation on my favourite website.
