Music is a big part of people and every village/town/person has its own music. The soul of the people is within the rhythms and sounds around them. What do you guys think? So, I do the same and buy a CD or two of local music at my exotic destinations. I now have a collection of about 120 which cover a lot of different moods, styles, rythms, languages or eras for any occasion or use. International music has become a hobby so I appreciate all sounds around the globe but amoungst my favourite are ethnic, latino-jazz and island directions like "Juluka", "Lecuona Cuban Boys" or "Barefoot Man" I often find compilations of various world music locally like: "Hemisphere No More" "Lieder der Welt" "Children of the World" "Give Peace a Chance" "Dances of the World" What will the world do without "wine, women and song", they as important to our lives as "wind, water and earth" :-) R'Rudi --- Rudolf "Rangutan" Graspointner Reply    Reply with quote    Contact rangutan   rangutan Premium account Joined: Aug 04 Points: 34752 Posts: 1044 Posted: 2006-02-11 09:59:00    ...wouln't it be nice (in about 10 years) to hear music from the various destinations when viewing GLOBO pages, specially the albums? Perhaps it is the same for music, maybe we could upload a certain amount of seconds for people to experience it on Globo. Perhaps we could overcome the copyright issue by simply inserting the relevant link into the globo item and directing the member to the site where the sound is already established? I try to obtain music CD's or tapes of local/traditional when i visit places.
