What staff look for/at: - top ***** quality ratings by OTHER members - comments in reports, guestbooks and forums - generally honest, good and friendly conduct In no way should a "nomination" influence the staffs final decision, as the awards are totaly up to them for the best promotion of this GLOBOsapiens community and the website, nothing else! The nomination is to make them AWARE of a candidate. After that, they know best! The award "PoM" best Picture-of-the-Month is particularly a difficult one for them as there are usuauly dozenz of excellent pictures to choose from, perhaps the category should be splitted one day? The award "MoM", best Member-of-the-Month" is even harder they say but really can also be calculated! - best input, real GLOBOpoints that month - best interest, internet clicks that month - most comments in guestbook/reports/forum - a factor, better newbees, rather not (just)previous winners, but certainly long term members, pioneers should also be rewarded! How should/can we help staff? That by nominating here whenever you see something/someone special at GLOBO! You help also members, specially new ones too! INFO: Anonymous or direct nominations can also be sent directly to staff under "contact" in the bar at the bottom of the homepage, also from an anonymous email address when not logged on. I do read most of the contributions, member feedbacks to other members and so on. So any info is helpful and helps me to make an overall decission. An excellent indication is the rating of content by members and their comments for example to reports and guest books. So I try to make a decission which reflects the choice of most GLOBO members. If we had just 5 members like him, GLOBO really would be autonomous! I entered some lists, infos, points, clicks, thoughts and other factors into a formula for last months contributions and "IT" came up with the following list of the most active members best suited TOP20 as MoM. Note, this is just a test and does not include data from all the 14000+ members, only from those with more than 500 points and mainly then top 200 members by points.
