Namuamua Village |
|
|
Namuamua is a small village located where the two Wainikoroilova and Wainitonuve rivers meet, inland from the Coral Coast. A small number of guests can stay with the villagers at any one time, and experience the traditional Fijian way of life for $70/adult (including all freshly prepared traditional meals). While you are in the village, you can visit the stunning Wainuta waterfall, go fishing in the river, listen to the village choir, or just explore the pristine natural surrounds. You can even arrange to get married in Namuamua. When you arrive in the village, you are welcomed as a member of the village during your stay by the elders in a special kava ceremony called a 'sevu sevu.' The money you pay to the locals goes toward helping fund local village projects.
