Wojtek,
Are you referring to the stretch of western South American coast between Puerto Montt and Torres del Paine? Well, if so, then it is relatively easy to get to Puerto Montt. There is a cheap backpackers bus (the name escapes me at the moment, but I am sure you can google it). Then, farther south, it is challenging. I know that there are boats running into the numerous national parks that cover most of the coast all the way down to Tierra del Fuego. I am not sure of the coast though. My friends went there a couple of years ago. I will ask them how they did it. They were travelling on bicycles and camping in own tent, by the way - so more independent.
Alternatively, as I think the coastline is more dramatic around Torres del Paine, you could fly south to Punta Arenas and make you way up north to Natales. The road is in decent condition. And I think there are ferries going north from there.
I will try to find out more specific info in the meantime, and if I find it, I will give you a buzz.
Best regards,
