Hi GLOBOs
What about a serious FAQ section in GLOBOsapiens.
After being member for several months and spending quite some time on this fascinating homepage I found out some things.
1. There are a lot of members that have no clue of all the different possiblities of their accounts
2. Some members have uploaded a lot of stuff but don't know what to do with it
3. Quality of uploaded content is not always what people would like to see
4. People are overwhelmed by the mass of information found here, they don't know how to find their way around.
5. Some common functions are not found by members because they don't look at the right palce or don't know it can be done.
6. A guideline for uploading Pics is missing (Picture Size, resolution, file size, ...) and a how to edit the pics in order to present them here
7. People don't know how to edit their posts (forum, pictures, reports, travel tips)
8. I don't know how many guestbook entries that are no longer important have been deleted...
9. Problems with Chatroom
10. Problems with Picture and Report rating
...
...
..
.
The list could go on and on
I suggest that we put together a serious FAQ or a 'How to do' section. This could be done by splitting the existing FAQ in seperate threads each one for a single subject: Fourm, Chat, About me, Activities, pictures, albums, reports, travel log, travel tips, guestbook, friends, contact, contest
Everybody here has found out one or the other point that would be helpful for newcomers or even oldtimers.... I think that all of us could post some hint's and tricks (it would be best when linked to good examples) in each of this categories, like that somebody who got stuck can find an answer quite quickly and when people stick to these guidelines quality of the site could be improved.
What do you think?
