Hi fellow GLOBO's,
GLOBOsapiens.net is gonna have some advertisements inside a mayor guide book for 2004. I would like to know what you guys think about this ad:
http://www.globosapiens.net/ly_c.jpg
It has to be black and white. The text can be changed. Its a bit difficult to find the right words. Any suggestion is appreciated.
One suggestion was to replace the text with:
-
Dave wrote a travelogue on Rom, Italy!
Nancy did upload pictures on Thailand!
Caroline recommended a hostel in Peru!
Alice created a slide show on Bangkok!
Are YOU a GLOBOsapiens?
-
Let me know what you think about it and how we could put the functionality and services GLOBO offers in better words.
Thanx and happy travels,
Andy

Hi Andy.
I like the 2 ideas.
Both are good.
But, at the first one, the word "TRAVEL" appears 6 times.
Maybe too much for an advertising. ¿?
Another opinion is about the design ... i don't know how to explain it in English so i will send it to you by mail.
OH! and maybe a higher font (Letters) could be more visual.
Is just my opinion.

Hi,
thanx for your comment. You are right about the world travel. I created a second example:
http://www.globosapiens.net/lg2.jpg
The design is set. Its only about the text. I would say it misses some "pepper". Its a tough job to find words to describe what you can do on GLOBO without writing a whole storry:-) But this exacly is the problem. To catch the attention of a person looking into a guide book migth not be easy. Getting him even check out the site is even harder.
The text is just missing a good hook. Any suggestions are welcome..
Andy

looks ok to me........
It say's nearly all.
Then again you could add

:-D

Hi Andy,
For some reason I missed this post when you first put it on the forum. Have you finalised your ads as yet? I clicked on the link but it came up that it has been removed, I would be curious to have a look or if it is too late late the next time that you are doing something.
Chhers,
Kerrie (downundergal) --- Where to next?

Hello Kerrie,
the ad has been finalized and I took the old ones offline. If you have a special interest in it, I would be happy to send you one as an email attachement. Just give me privat note.
Cheers,
Andy
