I'm looking for a female travel partner. I am a white collar professional (work for a bank). I have just started a transport company and got my first gig.. taking a boat from FL to WA. I've decided to use this opportunity to take a little (not nearly enough) vacation time. I'm going to stop and see all the things I've never seen.. very briefly.
Intended route is NC->SC->FL. Pick up the boat, then it's FL->GA->TN->KY->IL->MO->NE/IA->SD->WY->MT->ID->WA. Drop off the boat in WA, then it's WA->OR->CA (maybe a few hours in Mexico just to say I've been there)->NV->AZ->NM->TX->OK->AR->TN->NC.
Yes, the pace is pretty hectic, and it's possible (if the travel partner is in agreement) that I may stop some places along the way for a day or two and extend this trip a week - I would have to have wireless access during the day so I could work remotely (only taking 2 weeks vacation).
If you've ever just wanted to see things without all of the tours, etc. this is your opportunity.
All I expect in return is good, sane company and that you buy your own meals, and if staying in any lodging (campgrounds, motels, etc) you pay your half. I will cover fuel.
Planned sites include but not limited to:
- Nashville
- Mount Rushmore
- Space Needle
- San Francisco
- Possibly Hollywood
- Quick trip down the main strip of Las Vegas
- Grand Canyon
- Anything else of major interest along the way.
I am leaving the evening of 8/11 (yes, this Thursday) with plans on being in Jacksonville, FL on Friday morning (8/12).
Sorry for the short notice, but this job just came through yesterday and I *just* found this site.
If you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact me through this site.
