Jul 30, 2005 02:00 PMChurchill Island
Visited the historical island with exploration at the homestead with heritage buildings. This provides a sneak preview of the life about 200 years ago.
What i found very adorable were the scottish highlands cows!
Had lunch at the Churchill Isalnd Cafe and REstaurant which allowed me to sit back and soak in the beautiful views.
Jul 29, 2005 02:00 PMPhillip Island
Today I explored the region most loved by many. This is home to the colony of the Fairy Penguins and also boasts wild life and nature on Phillip, Churchhill and French Islands.
I was lucky enough to see the lovely penguins when they returned to their home at dusk.
I also checked out the koala conservation park.
Jul 28, 2005 02:00 PMGrantville and Phillip Island
Explored the region around Grantville before taking a trip into Phillip Island via San Remo.
Was just in time to catch the pelicans feeding time at 11.30 at San Remo before heading for a typical fish and chips lunch.
Headed on to Phillip Island, ie at The Nobbies to enjoy the spectacular views of the island which is also home to australia's largest seal colony.
We settled down for the night at Grantville, a beautiful house by the beach. Loved cosying up in front of the fireplace with our friends and having wine and cheese.
