Hi, it's all about the adventure... ((*_*))
Oct 11, 2008 02:00 PM Japan here I come..
I'm heading off to Japan tomorrow. I'm so excited but I have a long journey ahead of me. Scheduled to be some 18 hours - I think that is the worst part of the trip. I was only meant to do a 5 hour or so flight to Moscow but oh well.

Oct 10, 2008 02:00 PM Good weather again...
We Brits are obsessed with weather, so yet again after a very mix summer, we have had a really good weekend where the sun is shining and the temperature is warm - well a respectable 20 degrees.
It would be almost rude not go out and enjoy this phenomenon so today it was an idle stroll down the canal. Me and a fee thousand people had the same idea. The Regents Canal runs through the central north london and I picked it up in Islington through Kings Cross, St Pancras, Camden to Little Venice and then back to Regent's Park and London Zoo. It is a little bit anoying having to move aside to let bikers pass but all together a nice thing to do in London,

Oct 06, 2008 02:00 PM What gives...
For me the worst thing about travelling is finding a hotel. I hate chosing a hotel because it is so subjective Half the time you never know what area you should stay and that the hotel will be up to scratch. I wish there was an easy way of doiing this. But each time I go through the same mourning period where the hotels looks great but cost a fourtune so I can't stay there. What to do, what to do.

Sep 30, 2008 02:00 PM The decision has been made...
Well after much deliberating my decision has been made, I will be heading off to the land of the rising sun. I will now go to Japan and enjoy late autumn in Kyoto and Tokyo. At the beginning of the year this wasn't even on my radar, but faced with the choice of going to Beijing, I opted for a place that I've never been to.
I now have a week to do some research and finalise plans. Well we will see...

Sep 26, 2008 02:00 PM Main talking point
In the UK one of the main talking points is the weather and this weekend was a bit of a surprise for me. The sun came out in all its glory with temperatures into the 20's and they are calling it an indian summer weekend. For me there was no better place to spend the day than on the river. I had planed to go to richmond which is a two hour during thourgh many locks but as it happend I ended up in Greenwich. The river cruise is only an hour but greenwich is a great place to hang out. They have a very cool market, with also many shops, restaurants and bars. Then there is the park and going to the observertory. It is the first time I've been there in a few years and it had free entry. Whilst I hadn't planned to go in, it would have been rude not to.

Sep 24, 2008 02:00 PM Small place - big experience...
It is really easy to spend a day or weekend in Brussels and as I live in London the best option is to use the Eurostar. Generally the Eurostar runs between London St Pancras and Brussels for an as little as 1 hour57mintes. But owing to the fire in the tunnel things are a little different. It was probably better to travel once services are back to normal as it really cut into my day and I’m not sure I got the most out of my day. I think if I’d been told that the journey would take an addition hour I would have definitely cancelled. But they advise of a revised schedule but kept the timings the samedidn’t give any indication of times
But to be fair it is a really enjoyable day and could extend for a weekend or more. If booked early enough you can pay around £59

Sep 13, 2008 02:00 PM Northern Ireland vs Ireland...
I don’t know, but Northern Ireland felt surprising like Ireland to me; so even though I was in still in the UK it felt like I was in another country, except for being able to spend pounds sterling.
Belfast is a great city, so many things to do, I particularly liked exploring the Titanic Quarter. I’m not into ships but I found this quite entertaining – I must be weird

Sep 12, 2008 02:00 PM Something for the weekend….
I do love my weekends away, and so this weekend I headed to Northern Ireland. Destination to visit the Giant’s Causeway – a National Heritage site; this is an amazing place, not just the causeway but enjoying the rural countryside. I really think that is something that should be missed, especially as you get a chance to clamber over the stones that I’m sure in years to come this won’t be possible.

Sep 12, 2008 02:00 PM Ok panic over…
Ok services on the Eurostar have started back again so I’m going to wait until during to week to decide whether I’m going or not.
