Hi, it's all about the adventure... ((*_*))
Nov 29, 2007 07:00 PM Isn't it funny....
how you only remember the good things about your holiday. I've told the story so many times that even I beleive it now. I'm not saying that it was a bad holiday and everything went wrong, but there were some areas that was hard to take - like being delayed on the train four to five hours, or booking the worst hotel room in the world, or being sick every day because even though they tell you there is no nuts in you meal it always contains some for flavouring.
But I suppose it always comes down to what out weighs the emotions either good or bad; and if the good experiences out weighs the bad then it must have been a good holiday. If I keep on repeating the good things in a few weeks, months, years that's the only things that will matter.

Nov 29, 2007 07:00 PM Now for the pictures
It's one thing taking a lot of pictures it is another to figure out which ones deserve to be printed. I never know whether to go for arty or personal. I mean how many pictures do I need with me infront of something. But then arty becomes boring as in general we always like seeing our friends and families in the shot - it is a delicate balance.
Now is the time to start planing 2008's holiday schedule.

Nov 19, 2007 07:00 PM Well it's all over - I'm back!
Hello, everyone, I'm finally back from India, and what an incredible journey I've had. It is truly an amazing country, with so many high points but yet so many low ones as well.
Ok the low points: extreme poverty, smog, pollution, dirt, dust, rubbish, smell, cow droppings, corruption - the list could go on and on.
But the good points, seeing the Taj, tiger tracking, Golden Temple, Elephant rides and the list could also go on and on.
I'll add a few comments of my journey in due course.
See ya!

Nov 18, 2007 07:00 PM tie a yellow ribbon around the old oak tree
I am so happy to be going home today. I think I’ve just had enough, and I fell like I need a holiday. I think India is best explored the 5* way, where you go from palace to palace, and who you come into contact with is severely restricted. Money talks here, everyone is in for their share.

Nov 17, 2007 07:00 PM Hair today gone tomorrow
So after have two weeks of having pulling, touching, stroking my hair, I will be so happy to visit the hair dressers.
Sunday in Delhi seems so tame, it’s like a different city; no one is blowing there car horns, or driving down the wrong side of the street or cutting each other up. Connaught Place now seems so pretty.
Well it’s nearly over all in all it has been an incredible experience. I thinks that is what I will used to describe my vacation – India is incredible, a complete assault on the senses.

Nov 16, 2007 07:00 PM Not another train journey
Another experience with the Indian train systems. I had incredible low expectations, after experiencing the sleeper AC class, I just didn’t know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t luxury but it was good. And the service was fine. It was like being on a aeroplane, first they came with a selection of newspapers, then handed me a large bottle of water, then a snack which was biscuits and tea. I thought that was it, but the proceeded to offer a hot breakfast of omelette and chips and it tasted good. Well it didn’t kill me so it must have been fine. The journey was five hours long and it was nice just chugging through the farm land and seeing rural life. I arrived in Amritsar early afternoon, and headed or the Parkistani border.

Nov 15, 2007 07:00 PM Another Year, another dollar
I have to say this is my first time spending my birthday in an airport. And while I should be very happy, I'm sad as I don't want to go back to Delhi. I should have been heading to Dubia, for a weekend of pampering, but inside I await the flight back to India for the weekend.
Some people are so ungrateful....

Nov 14, 2007 07:00 PM God is great, the Himalayas
I wanted to go trekking but all I could afford is a 45 minutes climb up Sarangkot. I found it a little difficult, but managed to climb all the way to the top with only two breaks. I was also the first to arrive from my group and that was an achievement. After doing Dune 45 in Namibia, where I was almost dying and I really thought I wasn't going to make it, this was really a doddle.
You see it pays off in the end...

Nov 13, 2007 07:00 PM Now for a whirlwin tour
Sometimes the world just amazes me, and the beauty of nature. I just love to spend time in the forests just looking for wildlife. I have to admit that the Nepalese countryside is wonderful. The only destressing thing is that many trees have been cut down to form terraced fields for growing rise and I think this posses some real concerns.

Nov 12, 2007 07:00 PM Mom, I’m on top of the world, Mom
‘Air Buddha announces the departure of all flights to mountains’. For just over $100 if trekking is not your thing, a flight over Everest makes up for that. It is a wonderful something so different to experience. I don’t think any thing can top that.
